Skiing and Snow Play

  • During the winter months, the Mountain Star in Kendrick Park could not be better located for skiing and snow play. The Arizona Snowbowl is about midway between the town of Flagstaff and the Mountain Star, and when you stay at the Mountain Star you will be driving the opposite direction from all the ski traffic going to and from town. This can be very significant at the end of a day of skiing as traffic can be backed up all the way from the Snowbowl Road back into town!

The Mountain Star is also close to the two most popular snow play/sledding areas in Northern Arizona, Wing Mountain (12 miles) and Crowley Pit (3 miles), and only 4 miles from the Flagstaff Nordic Center. Conditions permitting, you can literally cross-country ski out the front door of The Mountain Star.
